Seaview Hotels That Will Blow Your Mind

May 1, 2018

Taking a holiday to the sea is one thing, but to make the best of it, you want to wake up each morning to an ocean breeze and an unforgettable view. The gentle rush of waves hitting the shore is both relaxing and inspiring, so it’s no wonder that some of the best hotels in the world make sea views their top priority.

With life by the sea proving as good for the body as it is for the soul, you’ll likely be booking your holiday with visions of the deep in mind. Here are some of the most amazing seaview hotels imaginable, from every corner of the world.

Soneva Kiri, Thailand

This beautiful collection of suspended villas and interlinked spas and restaurants in Koh Kood, Thailand is awash with greenery on every side. The opportunity to cycle, scuba dive or unwind in the spa makes for an attractive package in and of itself, yet where Soneva Kiri really shines is its Cinema Paradiso. That’s a nightly open air movie-going experience where the big screen is surrounded by natural trees and vegetation.

But of course, the sea views are what really make this hotel special. Soneva Kiri proudly notes it’s a Thai hotel in untouched tourism territory, making the natural splendours of the water shine. They’re best enjoyed from the infinity pool, which is easily up there among the best in the world.

Jade Mountain Resort, St Lucia

While great sea views and the Caribbean go together like strawberries and cream, it takes a special kind of vision to stand apart from the crowd. The owner and architect of Jade Mountainin St Lucia, Mr Nick Troubetzkoy, specially designed this hotel and resort to sprinkle down the hillside among trees and rocky outcrops to give the perfect sea view from every angle.

While spas, infinity pools and balconies each offer superb views of the sights, the hotel also boasts a stylish approach to cuisine. Gourmet flavours here, rich in tropical flair with colours and spices to match, is complemented by acoustic sessions and jazz musicians that help liven up the night.

Gara Rock, Great Britain

With staycations on the rise and plenty of beautiful views on offer to those in the know, there’s a rising and almost secretive and secluded clique of UK hotels offering stunning sea views.

At Gara Rock in Devon, the rugged coastlines of the UK, sprawling out into a rolling ocean, make for superb views. Meals and teas at The Lookout Hut give great views at mealtimes too, but the loft rooms offer a sublime retreat for those of you looking for grand sea vistas that also let you access nearby spa and beauty therapies.

Six Senses Fiji

Making its debut in April 2018, Six Senses Fiji on Malolo Island makes the most of the archipelago’s stunning sea views. With white sandy beaches and rich, deep blue Pacific waves in every direction, water babies have lots to love here. That’s especially true if staying in one of the more exclusive pool villas, each of which have their own private pools to enjoy alongside those sea vistas. With delicious dining and a range of ways to unwind, including a Wellness Village for treatments, Six Senses Fiji is also doing its bit to function in harmony with the natural beauty surrounding it. In fact, the site uses solar power throughout the resort, making it environmentally friendly in every way.

Baros Maldives

For the ultimate in sea views at your hotel, consider retreating to a tiny coral island surrounded on all sides by the Indian Ocean and a bevy of white sand beaches. That’s what’s promised by Baros Maldives, a luxury hotel resort featuring intricately designed tropical architecture that perfectly complements its stunning surroundings.

Small and intimate, you’ve got authentic dining and personal sunbeds to enjoy, but the real showstopper here is the beautiful Nooma. She’s a traditional wooden dhoni sailing ship, offering excursions out on that crystalline sea under swarthy sunshine galore.

There are so many hotels offering fantastic sea views. Which is your favourite?

Cameron Highlands Travel Guide

April 30, 2018

Located at an altitude of 2000 m above sea level, the lofty mountain resort of Cameron Highlands is one of the most popular getaway in Malaysia. The low temperature makes the climate inviting and affords the visitor a chance to get away from the heat and turmoil of the plains. This conducive environment is a boon for one and all alike. The place has a plethora of attractions, which makes a visit here worthwhile if you take out at least two to three days to spend.

GETTING THERE

Cameron Highlands is extremely well connected to most major cities lying on the west coast of Malaysia. The best way to travel there is either by renting a car or self driving one from any city. Taxis and buses are also available from Kuala Lumpur, which cover the distance of around 200 km in roughly three to four hours. Buses and taxis are widely available at Ipoh airport as well, which is about 85 km from Cameron Highlands.

GETTING AROUND

There are three principal localities in Cameron Highlands namely, Brinchang, Tanah Rata and Ringlet. Buses do connect these places, but the services are very poor, hence the option of having a personal car is best advised. One can also rent a motorbike for about 1.5 $ per day or hire a taxi.

ACCOMMODATION

Finding a good hotel in Cameron Highlands is very easy. Cameron Highlands has a range of budget to mid range hotels, mostly in the most popular place Tanah Rata, while Brinchang caters to the affluent visitors. Some good moderately priced hotels include, Bird’s Nest, Golden Wings and Parkland.

MAJOR ATTRACTIONS

Being a touristy region, there are no dearth of attractions in Cameron Highlands. The best way to go about this is by opting for a conducted tour, offered by many local agencies here. A usually itinerary includes a visit to the Tea Plantation, Mossy Forest, Strawberry Farm and Butterfly Garden. Other places too or on offer, but no matter which tour you choose, do not miss out on the Tea Plantation visit.

Cameron Highlands is also known to be popular with trekkers, with at least ten accredited hiking trails. These lead to some exciting destinations like, waterfalls and quaint mountain villages.

SHOPPING

Cameron Highlands is not particularly known for shopping, being primarily a natural abode. Still for those not taking the tours, a visit to the Multicrops Central Market can prove to be good for picking up fresh local produce and fruits. Elsewhere, a number of markets and roadside stalls offer a variety of local products to the visitor.

NIGHTLIFE

Though Cameron Highlands is no hotspot as far as a vibrant nightlife is concerned, it has its fair share of joints for some fun after sundown.Tanah Rata is the place to head for to let your hair down after a hard day’s trek. Try out the Jungle Bar Restaurant or Travellers Bistro and Pub.

TOP TIPS

# Bring warm clothes as evenings and rainy days bring a lot of chill.

# Public transport in Cameron Highlands is practically non existent. Better to opt for guided tours.

# Book well in advance, as budget rooms get taken up fast, especially during local holidays when hordes of people descend on Cameron Highlands from the surrounding towns and cities.

Ways To Keep Your Belonging Safe While Travelling

March 28, 2018

As you plan a trip, it is important to think carefully about the valuable things that you’ll be carrying along. Many travel experts advise not to take anything of value that you cannot afford to lose, to cut down the bling and to only keep the essentials. We cannot deny that it is good advice as you’ll always think of your safety first. It’s just like when you’re playing online- you will always think of choosing the best site which offers online security like Ted Bingo. This top bingo site offers top security measures and uses the SSL protocol to make sure all your personal and card details are at the safest. So anywhere you can enjoy a variety of top online games, without having to worry even a little bit!

But, at times, you indeed need to carry things of value. Depending of the purpose of your trip, the bits ‘n bobs you might want to carry might be credits cards, money and passports, jewelleries for special events, items to sell (for auctions), expensive and essential equipment, items for others (documents) or prototypes for presentations. So, how to keep all your valuables items at the safest? Here are some tips!

Carry, don’t pack!

One of the most blatant ways to keep your valuables safe is to carry them, instead of packing. With a little dose of luck, your most valuable item can be packed easily in a bespoke case, which you can always keep in hand. Or, you can keep it under your seat or stashed between your feet. For small items like cash, credits cards or passports, better to keep a money belt- rather keep monies out of sight. One cracking way of making sure your items are safe is to stay awake or keep an eye, as you travel by wagon or bus.

Mail Service- Brilliant!

If you are going on a long trip across various countries, it’s better to use the mail services for delivery. It is safer than carrying an item you bought, from here to there. Some exclusive shops even propose to pack and mail them to your final destination. It is a good alternative to hefting, lugging or eyeing the items as you travel. If you’re unsure about shipping facilities, choose mail services which ask for signature to collect the valuable items- only yourself or trusted relatives can pick it up!

Locks to Luggage Racks

As you travel by wagon or bus, feel safer by locking your cases to the closet luggage racks using either a bile or luggage lock. Thus, it is less likely that someone will snatch the luggage rack when you’re sleeping or using the loo! You can even lock small cases to your airline seat or the back seat of your rented car as you drive. However, remember to lock the valuables to the case first, then use the locking cable through the handles of the case to add the lock, for maximum security.

Wherever you go, safety comes first! So, while planning your next trip, make sure to follow the above tips to come home with all your valuables – a happy and safe trip!

How to Get More Instagram Followers:

  1. Make sure to post on a regular basis

If you fail to post a new photo in a week, you’ll start to lose Instagram followers as Instagram users prefer to follow active users, who make a real effort to post on a regular basis. While you may not need to post a new photograph every day, you should aim to post at least one brand new photo every three days.

Also, make sure not to spam your followers by posting more than 3 photographs per day. As Instagram users hate having their newsfeed spammed with multiple photographs from the same user.

  1. Try to post new photographs, when you’re followers are most active

You’ll want to tailor your posting schedule so that you post the majority of your photographs when the majority of your followers are likely to be actively browsing their newsfeed. As an example, if you post photographs to Instagram at 5 pm, when individuals will be commuting home from school and work, you should notice a spike in your total number of followers.

Also, make an effort to post photos during the weekends, which is by far Instagram’s busiest time of the week!

  1. Start conversations on other user’s accounts

One sure fire way to gain new followers is to start up conversations on other user’s accounts. As an example, if your Instagram account features travel photos, it’s well worth searching for accounts which boast popular travel-themed tags, in order to find the right users.

Remember to be as friendly and charming as possible and to ask questions which make it appear as if you’re actually interested in finding more information about the individual, whose post you’re commenting on.

  1. Regularly respond to the users who comment on your posts

If a user gives your post a heart or leaves a comment on one of your posts, it’s well worth liking one or two of their photographs in return. Which will show them that you’ll willing to reciprocate likes and comments. It’s also wise to respond to each comment left under your photographs as if new visitors to your account see that your account generates a lot of conversation, they’ll think that you’re an up and coming social influencer and will be more likely to follow your account.

  1. Only post high-quality content

While you may be tempted to post every single selfie which you take, the key to attracting more followers is to post high-quality content which stands out. Feeling comfortable while travelling

December 18, 2017

Staying comfortable while traveling takes some preparation, but it is worth it. Instead of paying first-class rates for a little luxury, you can create your own comfort. Check out the following tips on how you can create a more comfortable and luxurious experience on an economy budget.

Plan ahead

Book your flight or embark on a road trip after the morning rush. You will want to avoid early morning flights, since this is when the airport is packed with business travelers. Be sure to check traffic apps to see when the roads are less packed with commuters. Booking ahead can also help you save money if you are looking to travel on a budget. Choose a seat on your flight that is on the aisle if you will get up often. When traveling with children, book early enough to sit together and keep them entertained.

Comfortable clothing

One of the best ways to feel relaxed while traveling is to wear comfortable clothes that are not too bulky or too thin. Since you might alternate between cool and warm due to body heat in an enclosed space, warming sunlight, and heating or air conditioning, wearing layers allows you to adjust your temperature throughout the trip.Cramped conditions like economy airline seats can be incredibly uncomfortable even in a short time. Give your body the support it needs by improving back and shoulder posture with a women’s posture shirt. This is sure to keep you comfortable for the duration.

Keep warm

Snuggle up with a comfortable blanket to stay warm when you feel chilly or need to nap. Opt for a travel blanket that comes with a bag or holder to carry it in. If you kick off your shoes as soon as your flight takes off, pack a pair of slipper socks to wear during the flight so you don’t have to force your shoes back on to walk around or go to the bathroom. Make sure that you bring a travel jacket with a hood. This can help your neck and ears stay toasty without having to bring a separate scarf. Putting your hood on can also help you block out noisy or annoying neighbors.

Sleep gear

Block out the light with a plush, high-end, contoured sleep mask that won’t rub on your eyes or make you sweat.Create silence with noise-canceling earbuds, which are as effective as headphones but more compact for traveling. On a road trip, this allows the driver to crank whatever music they want to help them stay alert while you snooze in the passenger seat. Scope out a twisty neck pillow or another modern take on the travel neck pillow. There are cushions that allow you to lean forward, back, or to the side, depending on your travel sleep style.

Tech items

A portable charger should be at the top of your list to bring, since they are compact and can often charge multiple devices at once. You are missing out until you travel with a tablet stand, especially if you are traveling with kids. There are tablet holders that fit onto the back of your airplane tray and others for the back of a car seat headrest.

Stay healthy

Toss a few vitamin C packets or a travel pack of multi-vitamins in your purse, pocket or overnight bag to boost your immune system, because exposure to germs is bound to happen while traveling. Bring wholesome granola bars or individual fruit snacks for healthy energy to sustain you when you get hungry, but avoid nuts that are sometimes restricted on flights due to airborne food allergies of others. Watch out for deep vein thrombosis, which is a greater risk on longer flights. Make sure you walk around frequently to keep your blood circulating.

Refresh yourself

An excellent use for a washrag is to wipe your face to freshen up at the end of a long journey. There’s nothing better during travel than wiping down your face and neck with soothing warm water. Carry a small packet of mini toothbrushes or peppermints to refresh your breath. These awaken your mouth, keep plaque away and typically don’t require water.

Moisturize

It seems that traveling always strips the moisture from our bodies, but it you stay ahead of dryness then your body and skin will look amazing. Remember that the first step to staying hydrated is drinking enough water before, during and after your trip. Bring a reusable mini water bottle to refill every day for affordable water on the go. Pack lip balm and aloe gel as an all-purpose moisturizer for almost any rehydrating purpose.

Hopefully, when you travel, you are able to treat yourself to little luxuries that keep you comfortable. From comfortable clothes to hydration, the little things add up to make you feel more refreshed on your journey.
