The 5 Best Tropical Beaches in Indonesia

Indonesia is home to 5 big islands and lots of other small islands. Some of the most beautiful tropical beaches are found in Indonesia. The beaches on the jungle covered islands in Indonesia are ideal for adventurers or those who just want to relax on the beach. The following is a list of 5 best tropical vacation spots in Indonesia.

  1. Kuta Beach

Kuta Beach is a long white sandy beach that stretches from the airport to Legian in Bali, Indonesia. People like to go to Kuta Beach to watch the legendary sunsets. They usually come in between 5:30 pm – 6:15 pm to watch the sunset. You can take part in diving courses before participating in the day trip. The day trip usually start at 7 am and they will take you back at around 3 pm. There are several famous scuba diving spot including WW2 shipwreck, and Nusa Penida. Kuta Beach is also a popular surfing spot as it does not have dangerous rocks.

  1. Nusa Dua Beach

Nusa Dua Beach is a sandy beach surrounded by big hotels and expensive restaurants in Nusa Dua, Indonesia. The public zone is located at Pantai Geger. You will find amenities like restaurant, beach beds, and warungs. There is a rock formation called Water Blow, which is thus named because of the waves that often hit against the rock and create a big splash like it is blowing up. You can rent glass bottom boats to explore Serangan Island (Turtle Island). People go to Turtle island to see the sea turtles. The sand at Nusa Dua Beach is suitable for building sand castle. You will come across locals that will try to sell you water sports equipment and massage services.

  1. Senggigi Beach

Senggigi Beach is a strip of white sandy beach that spans several kilometers in Bali, Indonesia. The central part of the beach has good waves and is suitable for surfing. There are colorful reefs suitable for snorkeling and exploring marine lives. It is safe to swim and go canoeing in the waters at Senggigi. Fishing activities can also be carried out at the beach. Snorkeling can be done in the area around the sheltered bay. The peaceful atmosphere in Senggigi beach makes it the perfect spot for relaxation and beach walk. There are beach vendors walking around and local hawkers nearby.

  1. Pangandaran Beach

Pangandaran Beach is a black and white sandy beach with gentle waves in West Java, Indonesia. The beach used to be popular with the local fishermen. Every year, kite enthusiasts from around the world will come to Pangandaran Beach to attend the International Kite Festival. Tourists can visit the Cagar Alam jungle to see wild animals like deer, porcupine, and monkeys. Nearby, there are plenty of seafood restaurants and also a fish market. It can be crowded with domestic tourists during peak time.

  1. Sanur Beach

Sanur Beach is a beach located in front of a beach resort in the eastern side of Isthmus island. The beach is backed with a variety of restaurants, hotels, and entertainment venues. If you are on a budget, you can visit the local warung to find cheap menu. There is a line up of colorfully painted outrigger boats moored directly on the shore. During low tide, you can see crabs and star fishes in the shallow water. Sanur Beach is well maintained and offers a serene atmosphere for morning walk. You can frequently see boats sailing past on this beach.
