5 Things You Have to Do When You Visit the Gold Coast

5 Things to Do In Gold Coast, Australia

The Gold Coast is a beautiful place with tons of fantastic attractions. If you’re planning a vacation in Australia, check out these 5 things to do in Gold Coast.

With more than 50% of the workforce leaving unused vacation days in their calendar, it’s clear that people are in need of a vacation and not getting one. If you’re looking for a beautiful place with fantastic attractions, Australia’s Gold Coast is the place to go. There are so many things to do in the Gold Coast, you might find it hard to narrow things down.

Here are 4 options you can’t miss when you visit the Gold Coast.

1. Go on a Bike Tour

One of the best ways to see the most of Gold Coast without missing anything is to take a bike up and down the coast. You’ll get to see each distinct neighborhood and get a feel for the vibe of each one.

When you rent a bike, start along Old Burleigh Road and check out Surfer’s Paradise. Ride along until you feel the need for a break, perhaps at one of Broadbeach’s many cafes.

Bike safely by going during the daytime and renting a helmet while you’re there. Plot out your route before so it’s easy to go to and from where you’re staying. If you’re looking for places to stay, click here to learn more about what the area has to offer.

2. Check out the Rainforest on Tree Top Walkway

If you’re not afraid of heights, you should take a trip along the Tree Top Walkway, 40 feet from the ground. Walk a length of the rainforest and end up at the top of the Lamington National park canopy. You’ll see birds, flowers, and the sky in a completely new way.

There are tours all year round. Call ahead of time to make sure you can get a slot. This is one of many budget-friendly options to experience during your trip.

3. Some of the Best Golfing Around

If you love a challenging round of golf whenever you travel, you’re going to love playing on the Gold Coast. There are lots of native woodlands and resort courses to choose from. You can play where PGA champions played at the Palmer Gold Coast.

Check out The Palms and The Pines courses while you’re there for an extra special treat.

There are plenty of public courses to choose from as well. If you feel like taking a trip to Hope Island, just 20 minutes from the Gold Coast, check out Links.

4. Fun in the Water

If you like to jet ski, scuba dive, or surf, you’re going to have a great time staying on the Gold Coast.

For an adrenaline rush, get on a jet boat or ride jet skis with your friends and family. If you’ve always wanted to learn to surf, there are lots of schools along the coast that offer quality instruction.

For the nature lovers in your group, scuba diving means seeing some of the great wonders of the world. You’ll see turtles, seahorses, and stingrays if you’re up for an adventure. If you’re just learning about scuba diving, there are schools for you too.

So Many Things to do in Gold Coast, So Little Time

With the broad range of things to do in the Gold Coast, you and your family might struggle to hit everything that you all want to do. It’s a great adventure that you have to experience once so be sure you budget enough time to do these 4 things.
