People come from all over the world to see these incredible islands, and you ought to consider joining them, too.

Not sure what the islands have to offer you? Worried about staying entertained during your stay?

You definitely won’t have to worry about being bored while visiting the Galapagos Islands. Read on to learn about seven must-do things you ought to have on your schedule when planning your trip.

1. Snorkeling

For those who love the water, why not learn to snorkel in the stunning waters of the Pacific Ocean? If you go snorkeling in the Galapagos Islands, you’ll get to see a wide range of sea creatures, including sea turtles, tropical fish, and even penguins!

2. Kayaking

Another great way to spend time on the water is in a kayak. Kayaking along the Galapagos shoreline gives you ample opportunities to take in the ocean life (and enjoy an arm workout) without having to get directly in the water.

3. Horseback Riding

If you want to take a break from the water, a horseback riding is a perfect option that allows you to see more of the island. There are tons of trails that will expose you to more of the islands natural beauty.

4. Mountain Biking

For those who want an adventure that’s a bit faster paced, there are also plenty of mountain biking trails. You can get your heart rate up, break a sweat, and take in the island all at the same time!

5. Charles Darwin Research Station

If you’re in the mood for an educational vacation, you have to pay a visit to the Charles Darwin Research Station.

This is a great option for adults and children alike. You’ll get to learn all about the natural history of the island and the conservation work taking place to preserve it.

6. Sunbathing

For those who want to kick back and enjoy total relaxation, the Galapagos Islands have tons of beautiful beach space available. You can lie back on the sand, take in the ocean views, and work on your tan without a care in the world.

7. Volcano Hike

If you’re an adventurer who doesn’t mind breaking a sweat, you can’t go wrong with a hike to explore the Sierra Negra volcano.

This hike lasts about six hours, so it’s not for the faint of heart. For those who are part of the many Galapagos Islands Cruises and want to get their legs working, though, the views at the end of the hike are well worth it.
