Famous traditional types of Indian mithai

Indians relish mithai. With a sweet tooth, almost every Indian craves for eating sweet especially post lunch or dinner. So, we hereby present some famous tradition types of Indian mithai which is cooked frequently in Indian household.

  1. Kaju Katli Recipe

Kaju Katli is a popular sweet dish in Indian homes. Usually, it is gifted during festive times specially Diwali or New Year. Now making it at home is easy. Try out the recipe given below:

Ingredients:

150 gms of Khoya

50 grams of maida which is all purpose flour

150 grams of kaju

1/2 cup of Nestlé a+ Nourish Milk

1/2 tin (200gms) of Nestlé MILKMAID

Recipe:

Step 1: Take kaju and crush it into a fine powder. Then bring all the ingredients together and churn it into a smooth paste.

Step 2: Take this mixture and put it in a pan or kadhai. Make sure that the kadhai has a thick bottom. Cook it on medium flame and keep stirring.

Step 3: The mixture will start separating and leave the sides. This will form a ball.

Step 4: Pour the mixture on a tray. Then roll out finely. Cut it in diamond shapes.

Step 5: Relish together.

  1. Besan ladoo Recipe

It’s vacation time and there is a strong smell of ghee coming from the kitchen. It is none other than the time when mothers prepare Besan ke ladoo or Magad ke ladoo. A very healthy delicacy, this sweet dish is enjoyed by everyone. Let’s see how it is prepared.

Ingredients:

200 grams or ½ tin of Nestlé MILKMAID

500 gm of besan (coarse)

25 almonds (chopped)

20 cashew nuts (chopped)

100 ml of refined oil

200 grams of Nestlé Everyday Shahi Ghee

Recipe:

Step 1: Take a kadhai and add besan, oil, and Nestlé Everyday Shahi Ghee in it.

Step 2: Cook it on a medium flame for 11 to 12 minutes. Let it turn golden brown.

Step 3: Add all the chopped nuts in it and mix it well.

Step 4: Let it cool down. Now add Nestlé MILKMAID in it. Let it rest it 15 minutes post mixing it.

Step 5: Now divide this mixture in 24 portions. Make fine ladoos out of it.

Step 6: You can store them and enjoy them for long.

Conclusion:

These famous Indian mithais are enjoyed all throughout the year. Relish it and enjoy them with family and loved ones.
